After alot of talk and even more ideas, it's official, we have the permit! To most of you reading this, getting a permit doesn't sounds like that big of a deal; and until more recently it didn't to me either. My dad and Mark Cannon (of Freddies) had a tournament in the works for last fall, and then thought it would be easier to just start with fishing opener this year. Surely nobody thought that the Tournament they were wanting to start up would end up being a complelty different kind of tournament, with a WHOLE new meaing behind it.

I have found myself so overwhelmed managing my Brother's Tournament. Overwhelmed not because it's too much to handle at this point,(because Lord know's it's only going to get crazier) but overwhelmed in the sense that there are SO MANY ideas going around, and SO many people who want to help out and SO many things to do. Granted I wouldn't have it ANY other way, I just wish the Tournament was a mere couple weeks away, vs. a couple months away :).

Speaking for my Mom, Dad, Kelsey, Kyle & my Husband, Jeff,  (which I try hard not to do often), I know we are SO excited for what is in the future, and by that I simply mean: we are so excited with what lies ahead in Loving Memory of Our Jon. Our Jon was a special kind of person, a special man (b'cuz he was 20yrs old afterall), and a person as special as our Jon most certainly deserves a tribute as great as he was!

So, it's in closing that I ask for your help. I am just me, just one person in this big world. However, this world we live in all together, is the same world Jon lived in. If you're visiting this site, it's because you knew Jon, or knew someone who knew Jon, or heard through the grape-vine about Jon's story. Jon was a wonderful person, with a heart that melted a love that was so pure, and thankfully alot of people got to know that love. I ask that you look into this world today with your heart, instead of your eyes. Look into each person you meet and greet and look for the story in their hearts. It is going to sound cheesy, and that's fine by me, but pay it forward. As the Family of Jon Clough, we are looking to pay it forward to a special man who enjoys the same interests as Our Jon. We are looking forward to the opportunity to help someone out and help their life florish with the knowledge that makes the world go 'round.

Take a moment, just one minute. Forget smelling the roses, soak in some love from those around you that you care about, because you never know when your last "I love you" will be.
